2016: My name is Lea Sophie, and I have known my destiny from a very early age. For as long as I can remember, I have known within myself an unquenchable desire to write.
I believe that I have been a writer since I was a child, still unable to walk but already talking in
full sentences; I have been a writer since bedtime stories were the best
part of the day; since I was six years old and my role model was
Tolkien, and since I wrote my first book at the age of eight.
Here I will explore all the places words can take me, and just how far I'll make it.
I invite you to join me on my Odyssey.
Here, I hope to tell stories, in all the forms I know and am capable of. I see stories every where I go, and it constantly astounds me. I see stories all around me. I see them in myself. I see them woven between the words of a book, mesmerizing me with the inkling of a whisper that tells me how this book came to be.
I am writing my own book, and though I will not share it here, I will share the journey it is taking me own. (What an unbound, untraceable journey is that of the author, who charts courses where none have gone before!)
I want to hunt words like some have
hunted treasures; to chase stories like some have chased triumph and
prosperity. I want to make life an adventure. But the adventure that I
seek is not something I will find in any book that has been written. Not
in any corner of the world will I find what I desire.
It is within the
blank space of the unwritten pages, and with the scribbles in my notebook, that my
Odyssey truly begins.
That is the nice thing about a blog, I suppose: this notebook will never run out of pages.
